Kathy's qualifications and experience

Kathy Landsman provides general counselling and specialises in the area of grief and loss.
"My counselling training began in 1998 with Human Development and Training Institute (HD&T) developed out of the Human Development Team at Presbyterian Support.
I have a diverse background that includes more than 30 years of working alongside individuals and groups in many different situations including management and training.

Client issues include anger, depression, grief, unresolved trauma. Personal experience of losing someone close has led me to extensive specialised training in the (many) areas of grief and loss. My counselling style tends to be rather eclectic (depending on the client) but includes person-centered (Rogerian), inner child healing (Transactional Analysis) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy."
My training includes:
  • Grief Counselling Certificate 2002
  • Human Development & Training Institute – 4 years
I have a small private practice in Glendowie providing general counselling and therapy as well as support following the loss of a companion animal. In addition I offer my counselling services to a local community welfare organisation."
